Just got word that, since he left my old workplace in late April, Bevan got another job and has since been asked to leave. Why am I not surprised. April 26th, 2007Work update @ 03:27 pm
Today I called into my old job. I had some paperwork to finish off, so I dropped that off and talked with Sharon. I asked her how Bevan was. She tells me he wasn't working there anymore. I asked her why. She says she's not at liberty to say. For those of you who have been following his exploits, what do you think the chances are that this was an amicable departure? I just realized I haven't said anything about school since I started last week. I'd better do something about that. February 14th, 2007(no subject) @ 10:20 pm(no subject) @ 11:53 am

Oh my GOD, Bevan. Did you actually just say that you spoke to your lawyer because I wanted to confirm something with you about work policy and Health and Safety? God, fuck off. I'm at work, detailed rant later. September 30th, 2006Oh my god. @ 06:58 am

Remember that incredibly crude guy at my that always swears at work? Well he's at it again, so much so that I've decided to commemorate his asshattedness with a LJ tag all his very own. Earlier this week he was so bad that I decided I'd had enough and lodged a formal complaint with the bosses. ( As always, more foul language than you can shake a *$#@ing @#$@ ) I'm interested as to how this is going to be resolved, I'm far from being the first person that he's had trouble with, and usually 'resolved' equals screaming matches, as I understand. But it's gotta be done. Wish me luck. April 11th, 2006My #$^*ing @#$% of a co-worker. @ 07:59 pmMarch 3rd, 2006Work updated. @ 11:35 pm
What a day. And I only worked three and a half hours. Not because I was sick or anything. My fridays are always half a day, I've got a kid to look after in the afternoons, since she doesn't go to daycare. Well, first of all, remember how I said things were improving? I didn't know how quickly that would be. I sold a huge machine today. Putting into perspective, the largest sale I made previously at this place was $1,899.00 New Zealand. Today, I confirmed a sale for $5,499.00. Awesome. Secondly... well. ( Work rant - Cut for swearing. If you don't like the language here... imagine working with this guy. ) Later on in the day, I got called regarding some negative feedback from head office's service head. One of the chain stores that sells the same brand of waterblasters called up and complained about the service I was offering them. Supposedly the issues were that I was giving customers who had their machines in to be repaired the 'third degree treatment'. Uh, no. What I was doing was asking the correct questions to ensure they were using the water blaster properly so that I can determine whether it was a warranty claim or not. If I don't ask the questions, we don't get paid for the work by the supplier. So if you don't like the questions, pay for the damn thing yourself. That being said, there were some other issues that were brought up. While I'm not exactly to be blamed, I do regret that there was a misunderstanding, and I would like to apologize to this guy and attempt to smooth things over. Unfortunately, I can't do that without effectively telling him that this service manager called me up and discussed his issues, which mister service manager doesn't want me to do. Ugh. So all I can do is hope that we can keep him happy in the future. So yeah, there's a fair amount of bullshit to deal with. Thankfully, most of it is overshadowed by this awesome sale. It happened a lot sooner than I could have hoped, and it's given me a lot more confidence. I only hope that we continue to do this well. Who knows? We might even take a profit in my third month of being there. That would sure be nice. |
